- Turn on "Sound Profile" in your settings. For me this is at: Menu > Settings > Accessibility > Sound Profile
- Download Sound Profile app from the market. This app takes a little bit of familiarizing, but is great for setting up different sound profiles. It will also control other settings if interested, such as airplane mode, wifi, data, bluetooth, screen brightness, etc, but it's completely customizable as to how much you choose to control with it. The developer is quick to respond, helpful, and already confirmed a bug I reported earlier today.
- In the Sound Profile app, click the settings button, check "Use alternative vibration method", click Save.
- Now wait until you get a Dice with Buddies alert, then go back to the settings and click "More" next to "Use alternative vibration method". You may see several items, and more will populate over time. For the purposes of Dice Buddies, you can leave them all unchecked, but make sure "withbuddies dice off (#)" is checked and click save.
Now when you get a dice buddies alert, you should get a vibration. You can set a profile for vibrate or silent that keeps the multimedia at zero volume and you'll still get the vibrate. I like this, as I can leave both the notification and play sounds checked in Dice Buddies settings and quickly switch between sound profiles. Keep in mind, when the sound is on, you'll still get vibration with this.
